Restriction: The use of this medication is restricted to use in patients with:

Community - acquired pneumonia in which MRSA is of concern

CF who have a history of  MRSA intolerant/unresponsive to vancomycin therapy

Skin and skin structure infections where coverage for MRSA is needed

All other use requires ID approval. 

All orders must be entered using the Ceftaroline order panel.
