Buprenorphine ER for Injection (Sublocade) 100 mg and 300 mg SC

Situation 

Buprenorphine ER for Injection (Sublocade)  100 mg and 300 mg injections for opioid use disorder was approved for addition to the UNC Health system formulary at the March 2026 System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.  

 

Background 

The following medications were reviewed:  

  • Buprenorphine ER for Injection (Sublocade) 100 mg injection
  • Buprenorphine ER for Injection (Sublocade) 300 mg injection  

Assessment/Recommendation 

Targeted Go-Live: Tuesday, June 2nd         

 

System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary: 

  • Buprenorphine ER for Injection (Sublocade) 100 mg injection 
  • Buprenorphine ER for Injection (Sublocade) 300 mg injection
