Situation
Pegloticase 8 mg/50 mL (Krystexxa) RYU vials for chronic gout was approved for addition to the UNC Health system formulary at the February 2026 System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.
Background
The following medications were reviewed:
- pegloticase 1 mg/mL vial
- pegloticase 8 mg/50 mL vial

System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

System P&T voted to remove the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:
