Situation: Baloxavir marboxil (Xofluza) oral tablets was approved for addition to the UNC Health System Formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.
Background: The following medication was reviewed: Baloxavir marboxil oral tablets
Assessment/Recommendation: System P&T voted to include the following product to the UNC Health Medication Formulary with restrictions: baloxavir marboxil (Xofluza) oral tablets
- Restricted to use in patient with laboratory confirmed influenza A (excluding H1 and H3) on respiratory pathogen panel
- Use approved by infectious disease or pulmonology service
Formulary/Epic Changes will Go-Live on Tuesday, June 24th
