System Formulary Update
Risperidone (Uzedy) subcutaneous injection

Situation: Risperidone (Uzedy) was approved for addition to the UNC Health System Formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.

Background: The following medications were reviewed: Risperidone extended-release subcutaneous injection

  • 50 mg/0.14 mL single-dose prefilled syringe
  • 75 mg/0.21 mL single-dose prefilled syringe
  • 100 mg/0.28 mL single-dose prefilled syringe
  • 125 mg/0.35 mL single-dose prefilled syringe
  • 150 mg/0.42 mL single-dose prefilled syringe 

Assessment/Recommendation: System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

  • Risperidone (Uzedy) extended-release subcutaneous injection
