Guanfacine ER tablet

Situation: Guanfacine 2 mg ER tablet was approved for addition to the UNC Health System Formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting. 

Background: The following medication was reviewed: guanfacine (Intuniv) 2 mg extended release tablets

Assessment/Recommendation: System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

• Guanfacine 2 mg ER tablet
