System Formulary Update
COVID-19 Vaccines

Situation:

COVID-19 vaccines were approved for addition to the health system formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.

Background:

The following medication was reviewed: Pediatric Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, Pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine

Assessment/Recommendations:

System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

• Pediatric Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (6 months – 4 years)
• Pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (5 – 11 years)
• Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (Comirnaty) (>12 years)
