Situation

The formulary review of lurbinectedin injection was approved at the October 2020 System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.

Background

The following medication was requested for formulary addition: lurbinectedin injection (Zepzelca)

Assessment/Recommendation

Go-Live: Tuesday, December 15, 2020

System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

  • Lurbinectedin injection 4 mg

Use of lurbinectedin injection is restricted to patients in outpatient or clinic encounters (ie, no inpatient use)

Lurbinectedin orders must be signed by a Hematology/Oncology Attending Physician
