Situation:
Tyvaso DPI (treprostinil inhalation powder) was approved for addition to the health system formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.
Background:
The following medication was reviewed: treprostinil powder for inhalation, 16 mcg cartridge; treprostinil powder for inhalation, 32 mcg cartridge; treprostinil powder for inhalation, 48 mcg cartridge; treprostinil powder for inhalation, 64 mcg cartridge.
Assessment/Recommendations:
System P&T voted to include the following product from the UNC Health Medication Formulary:
- Treprostinil powder for inhalation, 16 mcg cartridge
- Treprostinil powder for inhalation, 32 mcg cartridge
- Treprostinil powder for inhalation, 48 mcg cartridge
- Treprostinil powder for inhalation, 64 mcg cartridge
