Vitrase (hyaluronidase) Injection

Situation:

Vitrase (hyaluronidase ovine injection, 200 units/mL) has been discontinued by the sole manufacturer. Vitrase (hyaluronidase ovine injection, 200 units/mL) was approved for removal from the health system formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.

Background:

The following medication was reviewed: Vitrase (hyaluronidase ovine injection, 200 units/mL)

Assessment/Recommendations:

System P&T voted to remove the following product from the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

  • Vitrase (hyaluronidase ovine injection, 200 units/mL)

Note: Stock of this formulary product may vary at individual entities
