Testosterone Transdermal Patch (Androderm)

Situation

Testosterone transdermal patch (Androderm) was approved for removal from the UNC Health System Formulary at the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.

Background

The following medications were reviewed:

• Testosterone 2 mg/24-hour transdermal patch (Androderm)
• Testosterone 4 mg/24-hour transdermal patch (Androderm)

Assessment/Recommendations:

System P&T voted to remove the following products on the UNC Health Medication Formulary:

• Testosterone 2 mg/24-hour transdermal patch (Androderm)
• Testosterone 4 mg/24-hour transdermal patch (Androderm)

Formulary/Epic Changes will Go-Live on Tuesday, August 15, 2023
