Situation

Belladonna/Opium (B&O) suppositories (16.2 mg/30 mg and 16.2 mg/60 mg) have been discontinued by the sole 
manufacturer. The Shortage Team is requesting formulary removal. 

Background

The following medications were reviewed:

• Belladonna/Opium (B&O) suppositories (16.2 mg/30 mg and 16.2 mg/60 mg)

Assessment/Recommendations

System P&T voted to remove the following products on the UNC Health System Medication Formulary:

• Belladonna/Opium (B&O) suppositories (16.2 mg/30 mg and 16.2 mg/60 mg)
