Situation

The Tezspire (tezepelumab subcutaneous injection) product standardizations were approved by the System Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee in September 2022.

Background

The following medications were reviewed: tezepelumab-ekko (Tezspire)

Assessment/Recommendations

System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Care System Drug Formulary:

• Tezepelumab-ekko (Tezspire)
  
  • Use of tezepelumab-ekko (Tezspire) is restricted to patients in outpatient or clinic encounters (i.e., no inpatient use).

Formulary/Epic changes will Go-Live on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
