Situation

The Vabysmo (faricimab injection) product standardizations were approved by the System Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee in September 2022.

Background

The following medications were reviewed: Vabysmo (faricimab)

Assessment/Recommendations

System P&T voted to include the following products on the UNC Health Care System Drug Formulary:

• Vabysmo (faricimab intravitreal injection)
  • Use of Vabysmo (faricimab injection) is restricted to patients in outpatient or clinic encounters (i.e., no inpatient use).

Formulary/Epic changes will Go-Live on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
