Comments:

Auvelity should be automatically interchanged to the individual components. Inpatients may use home supply, especially in cases when liquid dextromethorphan is not feasible or desired.

Plain dextromethorphan products (Delsym) or dextromethorphan-guafenesin (Robitussin DM) may be used for the interchange based on available stock.

Dextromethorphan 45 mg/ bupropion 105 mg ER (Auvelity) once daily or BID

Dextromethorphan PLUS Bupropion ER

Dextromethorphan 45 mg (given as Robitussin DM Cough; guaifenesin-dextromethorphan 100-10 mg/5mL) 22.5 mL once daily or BID PLUS
Bupropion 100 mg/12 hr ER tablet once daily or BID
