NIFEdipine immediate release no longer recommended for use in hypertension.

For tube administration it is recommended to order a compounded suspension from Huntsville Compounding (contact central pharmacy). The gel caps are not conducive to tube administration; use of a needle and syringe to withdraw the contents risks needle sticks or accidental IV administration.
