CORTICOSTEROID FORMULARY
Flovent (fluticasone) is
to be utilized as the formulary inhaled corticosteroid of choice. Flovent offers
similar therapeutic profiles and safety profiles as compared to the other
currently available inhaled corticosteroids.
Due to the common canister program a switch back to our previous formulary agent of Flovent was required. Flovent is available in an aerosol formulation compatible with a common canister system.
**Please Note: Pulmicort respules will remain on
formulary and will be dispensed as written for use via nebulizer devices.
