Epic - Missing Icons
When your computer is missing Epic icons on the desktop:
First, try this:
- On the bottom-right of the screen (by the clock), click the little up arrow icon and open the Citrix Workspace Application (blue circle).
- In the “Add account” box that pops up, type in the following address: https://epic.catholichealth.net/Citrix/EPIC/discovery
- The Citrix Workspace application will open and Epic icons should appear.
If that fails, try this:
- Access the Citrix web portal using this link: https://epic.catholichealth.net/Citrix/EPICWeb/
- Login with your network credentials.
- Click on the icon “EST PRD Hyperspace”.
If that fails, and when Epic is trying to launch you see an “Online Plug-in” installer that comes up and eventually fails, try this:
- Open the Citrix web portal (https://epic.catholichealth.net/Citrix/EPICWeb/) using the Microsoft Edge browser (not Chrome) by clicking on this link: Citrix via Microsoft Edge
- Chrome will generate a pop-up confirming you want to use Microsoft Edge. Click “Open Microsoft Edge”.
- Microsoft Edge will open and display a message “To use the account you used to sign on to the computer, click Log on.” Click Log On.
- A Windows Security dialog box will appear. Enter your username and password (just as you would when signing into Windows).
- Click on the icon “ESTPRD Hyperspace”.
- As Epic begins to load, you may also encounter an Imprivata login screen where a username has already been populated. Delete that username and log in with your credentials. Prefix your username with CHI\ (e.g. CHI\username).
